Everything we can verify, in one table

The homepage gives you our reading of each operator. This page gives you the raw material it was built from, including the arithmetic behind every percentage.

Operator comparison

Every value below is taken from the Gambling Commission’s public register of gambling businesses, read on 20 August 2026. The only exception is the match score in the first row, which is our own editorial figure and is explained further down. On a narrow screen the table scrolls sideways and the criterion column stays put.

Workings

How each score was calculated

Four components, twenty to forty points each, one hundred available in total. Nothing is rounded until the final figure. Full definitions are on the editorial policy page.

Spin Watch House match score components. These are our editorial weightings, not a regulatory assessment.
Operator Casino record /40 Casino focus /20 Product breadth /20 Register clarity /20 Total
888 Casino 31.5 11.0 20.0 20.0 82%
BetMGM 31.5 11.0 20.0 14.0 76%
Star Sports 21.9 11.0 20.0 20.0 73%
Lottomart 21.6 12.0 13.3 20.0 67%
Los Vegas 23.7 20.0 0.0 14.0 58%

A score is not a safety rating. All five licensees hold an active remote casino operating licence from the same regulator, subject to the same licence conditions. The spread between 82% and 58% reflects how closely each one matches criteria we chose, and those criteria reward a long record and a broad product range. A specialist operator with a shorter history is not thereby a worse operator — it is a different one.

What this table cannot tell you

Quite a lot, and it would be dishonest to leave the impression otherwise. The register records who is licensed and for what. It does not record how good the product is.

  • Nothing about promotions. Welcome offers, wagering requirements and minimum deposits are commercial terms that change without notice. Read them on the operator’s own site, immediately before you deposit.
  • Nothing about the games. Studio line-ups, live dealer tables and game counts are not in any public register, and they change constantly.
  • Nothing about payments or support. Deposit methods, withdrawal timescales and the hours a support team keeps are operator commitments, not licence facts.
  • Nothing about how you will be treated. A licence is a permission to trade under conditions. It is not a prediction of service quality, and it certainly is not a prediction of results.

What it does tell you is the part most comparison sites skip: the identity of the company behind the brand, whether it is currently permitted to do what it appears to be doing, and since when. That is a genuinely useful thing to know before you hand over identity documents and money.

Safety & support

Gambling is 18 and over, and it will cost most people money

Casino games are built to return less than they take over time. That is the business model, not a flaw in it, and no strategy, system or run of luck changes the underlying maths. Gambling is entertainment you pay for. It is not income, it is not an investment, and it is not a way out of financial trouble.

  • You must be 18 or over to gamble in Great Britain. Operators must verify your name, address and date of birth before you can deposit or play.
  • Every GB-licensed operator must offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Setting them takes a minute and they work.
  • GAMSTOP blocks you from every online operator licensed here with a single registration, not one site at a time.
  • If gambling has stopped being enjoyable, free and confidential help is available today — you do not need to be in crisis to use it.
